Positions

  • Plays a vital role in creating and maintaining a vibrant, customer-focused environment by providing exceptional coffee and beverages. Baristas must be friendly and enthusiastic, have a passion for coffee, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to ensure that each customer's visit is memorable.

    Responsibilities

    • Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks

    • Ensure quality control by following established recipe and presentation standards

    • Operate and maintain coffee equipment, including espresso machines and grinders

    • Take customer orders while paying attention to details (e.g. preferences of coffee blend, dairy and sugar ratios), process payments, and provide attentive and friendly service

    • Answering customer questions regarding ingredients

    • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety guidelines

    • Educate customers about our different coffee beans, brewing methods, and flavor profiles

    • Assist with inventory management, including monitoring stock levels and requesting orders when necessary

    • Collaborate with team members to continuously improve the customer experience and uphold a positive work environment

    • Act in accordance with B. Leigh’s Coffee values and culture, and strives to promote said values within the team and to customers

    • Maintain proper attendance and punctuality

    • Follow B. Leigh’s Coffee operating and cash handling procedures

    Requirements

    • Previous experience as a Barista

    • Familiarity with espresso machines and other coffee-making equipment

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

    • Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment, and responsibly fill slow times with productive tasks that contribute to the mission of B. Leigh’s Coffee

    • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds

    • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays

    • Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service experience

    • High school diploma or equivalent qualification

    • Excellent knowledge of coffee beans, brewing techniques, and flavor profiles is preferred

    • ServSafe certification is preferred

  • In this position, you will have the opportunity to interact with customers at the register and create delicious dishes in accordance with standard and seasonal menus.     Requirements

    • Previous experience in a similar role preferred

    • ServSafe certification is preferred
